Tūhuru Marae - Arahura

On Thursday Ruma Kea are going to visit Tūhuru marae.

Write a paragraph about what you think the day will be like. It can be from the moment you wake up or from the car ride to the marare. What was the weather like on Thursday?

Here are some sentence starters.

When I woke up I had breakfast, got dressed and then took the bus to school. Once I was at school.............

When I got to school I had to hop in a car with a parent and my school friends, it was a long ride to the marare.

Tes gats are the welcoming guests  that we wokint in to and two people were calling out to each other

the ghats are also used to keep  the enemies out.

what can you remember abutthe carvings.

the carvings on the woll ech have a different meaning and the are people that have been to the marae.  

every caving mens a different thing.

Every marae has protocols and rules that you must follow while you are there.  Listen to the tangata whenua and write down the rules that you are to follow while you are at Tuhuru.  Present it as a poster on this page:

YOU MUST: (Me pēhea) take your shoes off at the door walk in side. sit on the floor.

DON’T: (Kaua) no running in side on sitting on couch and pillow don’t touch the green stone.

i feel weird, excited. i feel other people's noses the wind i heard chowing running on the conkoret.  i smell pies fruit damp grass sweet. i see school bags and a goulden bell and a green stone.
